Will Peterson’s back gets another chance

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed in principle to a contract with former Giants cornerback Will Peterson for the remainder of the season, barring any problems with his physical. Peterson hasn’t played a game in 14 months, having suffered a stress fracture to the right transverse process, recovered, then suffering another back injury keeping him out of all of 2004.
Seeing as how there are so few good corners in the league, teams are very willing to take a chance on Peterson. You saw how they pulled Deion Sanders out of the nursing home a couple of years ago.
