Shaun Rogers suspended 4 games

The NFL has suspended Detroit Lions All Pro defensive tackle Shaun Rogers for 4 games for taking a banned over-the-counter substance. No one knows what the substance is, but it’s safe to say it probably wasn’t weight loss medication (Note: Actually it WAS weight loss medication, which probably proves the virtues of liposuction…why would Shaun Rogers try to lose weight? Can a defensive tackle ever really be too fat? - Editor).
Just more bad news for the Lions, who have already lost fellow fatty Damien Woody for the season to injury. Rogers has been one of the lone bright spots for the 1-5 Lions, who aren’t exactly overloaded with Pro Bowl-caliber players.

Interesting sidenote - the news of Rogers’ suspension was leaked ahead of an expected official announcement by the NFL, yet the report linked above on NFL.com appeared on that site before the official announcement.
