Matt Leinart the last unsigned 1st round draft pick

Another day went by without Matt Leinart at the Arizona Cardinals training camp on Tuesday, a contract standoff that has coach Dennis Green shaking his head in disbelief.
“I’m very surprised,” Green said. “I just didn’t think you’d have holdouts that would last this long the way contracts are done right now.”
With Jason Allen agreeing to a deal with Miami late Monday, Leinart is the last unsigned first-round pick from this year’s draft.
Neither Leinart’s agent Tom Condon nor Cardinals vice president Rod Graves returned telephone messages on Tuesday as the quarterback’s holdout reached 1 1/2 weeks.
Graves told The Arizona Republic on Monday that he believed the two sides were close.
Leinart’s camp believes the Cardinals got a gift when he unexpectedly fell to their No. 10 spot in the draft. His status as the second quarterback chosen, and a potential franchise player, warrants a better deal, the agent and his client believe.
We always love the “you’re lucky you got me where you did” defense. It takes a special kind of cockiness that not many can pull off. So, Arizona should tell Leinart to bugger off. They have a more-than-capable quarterback in Kurt Warner, and the biggest problem with their passing game - the lack of a running game - was addressed in a big way by signing Edgerrin James.
So, Matt Leinart, you can take your ball and go back to California to party with Paris Hilton. You want top 5 money? Win the NCAA Championship and get drafted in the top 5.
