Jeremy Shockey insults Coughlin, suffers concussion

New York Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey sustained a mild concussion in a collision with safety Will Demps, the team said Tuesday.
The three-time Pro Bowl player was injured late in the Giants’ evening practice on Monday.
Shockey was taken to a hospital and released Monday night, but still was experiencing headaches Tuesday morning, said Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon, who doubted that Shockey would practice Tuesday.
As if it needed to be said - you do not mess with Tom Coughlin.
Yesterday Shockey, in a rare media outing, said of Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, “He can be an ass sometimes”. Today Coughlin basically shrugged it off…
Coughlin added that he would “have a conversation” with Shockey. “I’m not going to make it a big deal,” he said.
Coughlin is well-known for his no-nonsense demeanor and coaching style, and now Shockey is suffering from a concussion after being hit in practice. We at The Sports Dirt don’t believe in coincidence. A “collision”? Please.
If I’m a Giants player, I’m terrified. It appears that coach has no problem using goons to send messages, if you catch my drift. Plaxico Burress also criticized Coughlin for his lack of sense of humor…and now we are bracing for the inevitable, when Burress shows up missing and authorities find him “sleeping with the fishes.”

Maybe players who have had a concussion like Shockey, Rothlisberger and Perry should get a mouth guard from the Patriots dentist, he has had the lowest concussion rates ever recorded in the NFL. If his jaw was damaged, where the cartilage slipped, from a blow to the jaw or torque from the chin strap, he would be the perfect candidate. Ir is a time tested proceedure that orthodically balances and stabilizes the corrected bite. Scores of NFL players have benefited from it,less dizzines, seeing stars, headache, yet the NFL has been slow to recognize the evidence.
