Emmitt Smith to appear on Dancing With The Stars
Former NFL running back Emmitt Smith will follow in the footsteps of Jerry Rice as a contestant on the ABC show “Dancing With Stars,” the network announced Monday.
Smith, the NFL’s all-time rushing leader and a three-time Super Bowl winner with the Dallas Cowboys, will be partnered with professional dancer Cheryl Burke. The show’s format calls for the contestants, partnered with professionals, to perform choreographed ballroom dance routines for viewers and a group of on-air judges.
Rice, one of the NFL’s all-time great receivers, competed on the show last season, and finished second.
Don’t think for one second that the all-time leading rusher will be settling for second like Rice. Emmitt has proven that he is perfectly willing to hang on much too long in order to come out on top.
