Disgruntled Ashley Lelie, TJ Duckett traded
A rare 3-way trade went down in the NFL yesterday, with the Broncos shipping a slightly unhappy Ashley Lelie to Atlanta, Atlanta giving the Redskins backup running back TJ Duckett, and Washington sending Denver a 3rd round draft choice.
So, just to recap - Lelie, who is upset at his lack of playing time, comes to Atlanta where he will be the #3 receiver, and Duckett, who also wanted more playing time but wasn’t as whiny about it, goes to Washington to be a backup to Clinton Portis - in other words, Duckett isn’t going to be seeing any more field than he did behind Warrick Dunn in Atlanta. Glad everyone got what they wanted.
