I think there may be more to this than David Carr is done. There has been talk of the Panthers wanting someone to push Jake D. for the job since the end of last season. I'm not saysing they are going to announce an open competition. I'm wondering what Carr may have been told in interviews that led him to take a "backup" job when possible starting gigs where out there with Miami and Cleveland. John Fox's job could be on the line this year and if it comes to it you may see Carr under center if they need a new spark.
