There has been talk of the Panthers wanting someone to push Jake D. for the job since the end of last season. I'm not saysing they are going to announce an open competition. I'm wondering what Carr may have been told in interviews that led him to take a "backup" job when possible starting gigs where out there with Miami and Cleveland.
