Charles Rogers probably getting cut

Mike Williams isn’t the only high profile Detroit Lion struggling for a roster spot. Charles Rogers says he isn’t even going to make it past tomorrow’s cuts. Rogers gave his jersey to a fan after the final preseason game Thursday and later said, “You know, we’ll wait until Saturday but it don’t look pretty. It would be hard for me to believe I’m still here after what just happened in this situation. I’d say my days are numbered.” Coach Rod Marinelli’s comments didn’t paint any prettier a picture. “It’s everything since we’ve been together. There are other things, have you digested the offense? Are you dying to be a great player? Do you claw the wall every day? Do you understand what that means? Every day. You claw the wall and want to be the best player in America. I want to get 53 men like that, who live and die for football. That’s what I’m looking for.”
It’s been a bumpy ride for “Cheech” Rogers (as our friends over at Sweaty Men Endeavors has taken to calling him). He sat out much of his first two seasons due to a couple of freak collarbone injuries, and the only thing that has overshadowed his lackadaisical practice habits has been his love for the ol’ Mary Jane. The only thing Chaz seems capable of proving to anyone is that he’s as big of a bust as fellow Spartan alumni Tony Mandarich.

….aaaaaaand it’s official. 24 to clear waivers and then he can sign wherever he wants. Teams that should take a look at him - Saints, Eagles, Falcons, & Patriots (if they really want to piss off Deion Branch)
