Michigan State slaps John L. Smith
The Michigan State Spartans will not be bringing head coach John L. Smith back next season, following…well…a whole lot of disappointment. The Spartans have not been to a bowl game since 2003 and have been marred by inconsistent play and come-from-ahead loses. If there’s anyone left that John L. wants to slap, he’d best get it done.
Rumored to be waiting in the wings is Tom Izzo’s buddy Steve Mariucci. We don’t want to say that Mooch has a soft reputation, but by announcing Smith’s firing now, MSU gives themselves plenty of time to install new changing tables and diaper pails in the locker room before Mooch comes in.
