Larry Coker isn’t going anywhere if Larry Coker has anything to say about it
Embattled Miami Hurricanes head coach Larry Coker says he isn’t planning on getting fired after this season, in spite of his 5-3 record and his zero chance of seeing an ACC championship, much less a BCS game. Calling this a “year of change,” Coker said,
“What I tell recruits is I’ve got a number of years left on my contract. I want to serve out those years and probably a few more after that. We’re not that far away.”
This could be a true test of character. A true Miami coach would let his 9mm decide when he’s going to leave, and punch the university president in the throat on the way out.
