AP Top 25 gets recalculated
The AP has released a new Top 25 this week after Ken Tysiac of The Charlotte Observer mistakenly sent in the wrong poll. The corrected poll breaks a #20 tie between Boston College and Arizona State, giving #20 to Boston College and dropping Arizona State to #22. It’s the first time in history that the AP has revised a poll.
And it’s a good thing, too. The last thing we need is for people to start questioning the legitimacy of the NCAA Top 25 rankings. God forbid, it could lead to criticism of the BCS rankings - who knows where we would be if those rankings couldn’t be trusted.
