Toronto looking to deal top draft pick?
The Dirt: The Memphis Commercial Appeal is reporting that the Toronto Raptors, with the 1st overall draft pick, and the Portland Trailblazers, with the 4th overall pick, are both hinting that they would be willing to deal their pick. The Memphis Grizzlies may have an interest in trading up to one of those picks, and Shane Battier and Eddie Jones are two names surfacing in trade rumors.
The Spin: Of course they would be willing to trade the pick. There is no standout pick this year; no Lebron James or Dwayne Wade, and teams probably aren’t looking to pay a Chris Kaman-esque player Lebron James-esque money. The value on the top picks is not going to be as high this year as it might other years.
