Ron Artest defends his part in Detroit brawl - to kids

Move over, Mr. Miyagi - Ron Artest is telling kids he is working with as part of his community service that “I would always encourage you to protect yourself but in certain situations, if you can avoid them, avoid them.” Because if you don’t, you will be avoiding an onslaught of beer cups, shoes, and whatever else drunk fans throw at you as you exit the court. And what does Ronnie think of acquitted cup-tosser John Green? “I like John Green, he’s real. I don’t have any problems with John Green. He did something really stupid but a lot of people do stupid things. God forgives, so I’m forgiving too.” God forgives, but Larry Bird doesn’t.
