Rick Majerus turned down assistant role with Nuggets
Former Utah coach Rick Majerus said he has turned down an offer to become an assistant to Denver Nuggets coach George Karl.
“(Karl) offered me the job a month ago,” Majerus told the Rocky Mountain News in Tuesday’s editions. “But I can’t move (to Denver) right now.”
A Nuggets spokesman did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press Tuesday.
Majerus literally can’t move to Denver. In fact, he can’t move at all. Word is that he’s confined to his bed, having ballooned to over 800 lbs., and is waiting for an intervention from Richard Simmons.
