Pistons forward Dale Davis arrested

Dale Davis

Pistons forward Dale Davis was arrested early Tuesday morning in Miami Beach, Fla., and charged with disorderly conduct, assault and resisting arrest, two television stations reported Wednesday.

WDIV-TV (Local 4) was among the stations reporting the arrest. According to a story on its Web site, Davis was arrested around 2 a.m. Tuesday after allegedly shouting obscenities at hotel security guards at a Courtyard by Marriott.

He later posted a $5,000 bond, the story said.

A spokesman at the Miami Beach Police station couldn’t locate the written police report Wednesday night, and managers at the Courtyard Miami Beach South Beach and the Courtyard Miami Beach Oceanfront said that the occurrence did not happen at their hotels.

This comes as a total shock to Pistons fans, as most of them forgot that Dale Davis was still on the team.

This behavior is totally unbecoming of a Pistons player. This is the kind of behavior you expect from a Trailblazers player.

  2. Admin Says:

According to the Detroit Free Press, Davis was hit with a taser gun as well. He and his lawyer said they will be filing a lawsuit against the Miami Beach police.

I find it hard to bleive anyone would say Dale Davis’s behavior is unbecoming as a Pistons player. Did you forget the Pacers and Pistons Behavior not so long ago? In addition, has it ever come to mind that, there is more this story than what you have read? Dale Davis is a Gentle Gaint how gives more then he receives, including RESPECT.
