Larry Brown swindles $18 million from Knicks

Larry Brown

A third quarter report filed by Cablevision revealed that the Knicks paid Larry Brown $18.5 million - less than half of the $40 million remaining on his contract when he quit was fired - in arbitration last month.

Add that to the $7 million he got from quitting being fired by the Pistons, and Brown made out nicely; $25 million for basically a year and a half of work (the “half” being his second with Detroit - the 23-59 season in New York hardly qualifies as “work”). So beautifully planned and executed, it could be the basis for Ocean’s 13.
