Chris Webber insists he doesn’t want to be traded

After The Sacramento Bee reported on its web site that Chris Webber has spoken with 76ers president Billy King about his reduced playing time - he has sat the bench for the entirity of the 4th quarter three times this season - and wanted to be traded, Webber has come out and denied the report.
Riding bad knees and playing on an outrageous contract has ensured that Webber is about as tradable as Christian Laettner on a peg leg. He’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
Fortunately for Chris, Allen Iverson has come out and defended him, saying that they need him and his defense. Mo Cheeks would be wise to heed A.I.’s words; the last time Iverson went looking for someone who wasn’t where he thought they should be it ended pretty badly.
