Bulls trade Tyson Chandler to Hornets for P.J. Brown, J.R. Smith

The Chicago Bulls and New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets on Wednesday reached a verbal agreement on the widely expected trade that will send Bulls center Tyson Chandler to the Hornets for veteran forward P.J. Brown and swingman J.R. Smith.
This accomplishes two thing for Chicago - they get rid of Chandler, whom they had been looking to trade, and they take on Brown’s contract, which will help in being able to pay for soon-to-be-acquired Ben Wallace. You have to wonder how Chandler’s bad back is going to hold up when he has to row a boat to New Orleans Areana.

Looks like Ben Wallace will get to wear #3 now.

Chi fans were holding out hope that a ‘promise’ that was made would pair Big Ben with the one who could carry the scoring load…K.G. I guess this latest trade lays to rest those dreams, whew!
