Pete Rose will prove how sorry he is for $1000

Robert Edward Auctions will be selling 30 baseballs signed by Pete Rose with the inscription, “I’m sorry I bet on baseball”, and the auctionhouse’s president Rob Lifson expects them to go for around $1,000 each.
It looks like what Pete is doing here is establishing where he points to during his next round of Hall of Fame banning appeals and says, “What else do I have to do to prove I really am sorry?!” If Bart Giamatti were alive, he’d die laughing.
