Cubs could hire Lou Pinella this week
The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that the Cubs could begin negotiations with Lou Pinella as early as Monday and hire him within the week.
Pinella is the perfect hire for this club. The Cubs have wasted a lot of money on the contracts of the oft-injured Mark Prior and Kerry Woods, and hiring a known wallet-snatcher might enable them to get some of that money back.
