Brooks Robinson defends Alex Rodriguez
Brooks Robinson was in his home state of Arkansas on Monday hosting a celebrity golf tournament, and when the topic of Alex Rodriguez came up, Robinson was quick to defend the Yankees’ star.
“I was watching TV last night and I really had to laugh at the guy who said he might be traded,” Robinson said. “There’s no way in the world that A-Rod is going to go anywhere. If they don’t have A-Rod, they don’t win.”
Brooks Robinson is right. New York “fans” should be ashamed of themselves. This is Alex Rodriguez - future Hall of Famer, and reigning MVP. A-Rod’s slump isn’t what caused the Yankees to drop 2 of 3 to the Blue Jays. So get off it.
It could be a lot, lot, lot worse, Yankee fans. It could be Mike Pagliarulo.
