Attention anyone: Sammy Sosa still ready to return

Just in case you’ve forgotten since he said it in July, Sammy Sosa wants you to know that he’s ready to play baseball again.
“I feel good physically, and after a year of resting we are optimistic about making a decision soon about returning to baseball. I still have a lot of passion for the game and I’m in shape. I want to get to 600 home runs before saying goodbye.”
Sammy has to be kicking himself for rejecting the $500,000 that Washington offered, because if he’s having to remind people that he’s around, it’s obvious that he’s not getting any bites. He needs 12 home runs to reach 600…what are the chances he’s holding out for an offer from Colorado? Take a year off to stock up on corked bats, pump yourself full of ‘roids, and take off for homer-friendly Coors Field - forget Barry Bonds, he might break Hank Aaron’s record this season.
