Kevin Garnett Calls Charlie Villanueva A “Cancer Patient”
Following the Pistons loss to the Celtics Tuesday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Detroit forward Charlie Villanueva took to his Twitter account and accused Boston’s Kevin Garnett of calling him a “cancer patient.”
“KG called me a cancer patient, I’m pissed because, u know how many people died from cancer, and he’s tossing it like it’s a joke,” Villanueva tweeted.
He then followed up with, “I wouldn’t even trip about that, but a cancer patient, I know way 2 many people who passed away from it, and I have a special place 4 those”
Derrick Rose Ditches “The Good Wife”
“Derrick had agreed to play himself in an episode. The deal had been done and the contract had been signed,” we’re told.
“But when the car arrived at his house in Chicago Tuesday morning, he didn’t answer the door,” our source related. “The driver waited but he didn’t appear. Finally, an unidentified man came out and said: ‘Derrick is not going to New York.’
“This was very frustrating for the show’s cast and crew because the production had been set, the script had been written, and actors including Josh Charleswere on standby for him.
“By the end of the day there was still no explanation why he didn’t show or if he wants to do the scene at a later date.”
Ted Williams’s head is a hit
Ted Williams just can’t get a moment’s peace. A new book alleges that Williams’s head, which is cryogenically frozen, was crudely removed by untrained persons, bopped around like a baseball, and generally abused in several unspeakable ways.
In a 405-page book that hits stores today, Johnson, the company’s former chief operating officer, describes another Alcor employee allegedly whacking Williams’ head with a monkey wrench while trying to free it from its perch atop a BumbleBee tuna can.

McGahee is a Raven getting his eyes pecked out for a change
The Baltimore Ravens accused certain Cleveland players of intentionally gouging the eyes of tailback Willis McGahee on two occasions in last Sunday’s 28-10 victory against the Browns.
The Ravens reported the incidents by sending tapes to the league office earlier this week.
“We talked to the league,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said during his weekly news conference Wednesday. “We asked them for their opinion on what happened, and we’re waiting to hear back on it.”
Mom was right – you keep playing rough, and someone eventually gets their eyes poked out. Hopefully he has a good eye doctor, and hopefully he’s in Miami…we can’t imagine the women in Baltimore are any better than the ones in Buffalo.
